Considering lewis' models, Uganda's culture, like many other countries in Africa, is a multi-active culture. This is mainly due to their capacity for personal transactions, their orientation to constantly relate to people in their community and their way of being outgoing.
Ugandans have many traditions and most of them are performed in conjunction with other people. Festivals, ceremonies and rituals are very common in their culture, ugandans are outgoing and talkative people who like dancing, music and tradition in general. Hospitality is also a characteristic that places them in multi-active cultures, they like human relationships and personal negotiations. It is a custom in Uganda at dinner time to sit on the rug to eat and he likes his guests and neighbours to accompany him at dinner.
Ugandan people as in other multi-active cultures have a tendency to perform different tasks at the same time which would be an advantage when coming to study here in barranquilla, however a problem that could have a ugandan person coming to study here could be having to work with women because although they are a hospitable culture machismo is a representative feature of this country. Another difficulty could be the type of conversation in both places people are loquacious but the subjects that can or cannot be discussed are different.
